The reason we started an organization team is because our materials are extremely difficult to find due to lack of organized spaces in our storage area. Our goal with organization is to develop an clean and productive storage unit that we can use to find materials quickly for years to come.
Our first order of business was to make printouts of names of material of boxes and taped them to the respecting boxes. After naming all of the boxes, we decided to start with organizing screws since they are one of our most used materials. We organized the screws by size and manufacturing brand. While organizing, our team discovered that using boxers with sliders were more effective, and we switched to using boxers with sliders instead. After screws, we decided to organize everything else the same way as the screws since the system was efficient. Eventually, we organized all of our items.
